The theme Inside Out explores the idea that any transformation, from neural activity to global systems begins internally before it becomes visible externally. The theme traces how change emerges in the human brain, reshapes individual identity, influences social dynamics, transforms organizations, and ultimately contributes to the shifts we see across the world. It’s a journey of expanding perspectives: starting with the smallest spark inside one person and zooming outward to the interconnected systems that define our shared future.

TEDx is a grassroots initiative, created in the spirit of TED’s overall mission to research and discover ideas worth spreading. TEDx brings the spirit of TED to local communities around the globe through TEDx events.

What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
